Known issues

alt:V

"altv-client.dll can't be loaded"

If you have Kaspersky AntiVirus or Kaspersky Internet Security installed, you may encounter the "altv-client.dll can't be loaded" error, even if all necessary exceptions have been added. The only known solution for this problem is to disable the virus scanner. Additionally, keeping the alt:V window in focus can help minimize the likelihood of encountering this error. It's worth noting that similar issues may arise with other antivirus software, such as Avast.

"Integrity check of resource failed"

The occurrence of this error indicates a failure in the integrity check of a resource. This can be caused by various factors, such as a faulty download, insufficient free disk space, or other related reasons.

  1. Ensure you have enough free space on the drive where alt:V is installed
  2. Start alt:V
  3. Go to the settings
  4. Use the "Delete resources" button next to the respective "Server data" entry to remove the resources
  5. Connect again to the server

Failed to fetch updates

This error typically occurs when there is a disruption in your connection during the alt:V client update, or when the download is blocked by antivirus software. To resolve this issue, you can try disabling your antivirus or firewall temporarily. If the problem persists, it is advisable to attempt the update at a later time.

Another potential solution is to use a VPN (see basic steps). By using a VPN, you can potentially bypass any network restrictions or interruptions that might be causing the error.

Your game version is X, but only Y supported at the moment

To resolve this issue, ensure that your GTA V is updated to the latest version. You can try verifying the game cache or explore alternative methods to force the game update, like for example Steam or Epic Games Launchers file validation feature.

  1. Press Win + R on your Keyboard
  2. Enter "msconfig" in the window which appeared
  3. Click on OK
  4. Select the Tab called "Services"
  5. Check the box called "Hide all Microsoft services", located at the bottom of the window.
  6. Click the button "Disable all"
  7. Scroll and find "Rockstar Games Library Service" and check it.
  8. Click the button "Apply"
  9. Restart your PC

If alt:V is working, you can reenable some services, until you find the one that is causing the crashes. If you find the service that is causing the problem, please contact us on discord.
